A study of fundamental circuit laws and components and techniques for analog circuit analysis. Voltage,
current, power, Ohm’s Law, Kirchoff’s Laws, node voltage and mesh current analysis, op-amps,
capacitors, inductors, RC, RL, RLC circuits. Impedance, frequency response, and Bode.

Mathcad 14 (available on Bay Cloud and in Sc N237) will be used extensively to simulate the behaviors of circuits.
Grades will be weighted and curved. Attendance - 10%; Homework - 30%; Midterm - 20%; Final - 40%.
Assignments must be turned in on Blackboard using xmcd files only.
Late assignments will be discounted at 1% per hour late. Assignments may not be submitted after 100 hours without a documented absence excuse.
